Bambanani Funeral Services is a funeral services provider with its head office at 15 Deneyssen Street, Viljoenskroon, 9520, South Africa. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Bambanani Funeral Services.

2. What this website collects

This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not store your information. Specifically:

There is no database on this website and no information is saved to it.

There is no server-side contact form. The enquiry form on our contact page runs entirely in your browser and simply opens WhatsApp with a message prepared for you to review and send.

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

As with any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, which can include your IP address and the pages requested. These are used only to keep the website secure and working correctly.

3. Information you give us directly

When you contact us by telephone, WhatsApp or email — or when you arrange a funeral or take out a funeral plan — you give us personal information. Depending on what you are asking us to do, that may include:

details of the deceased and of family members to be covered;

identity and address details required for arrangements or for a plan;

payment details for premiums; and

anything else you choose to tell us in the course of arranging a funeral.

We use personal information only in order to:

answer your enquiry;

arrange and carry out a funeral;

administer a funeral plan, its premiums and any claim; and

meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations that apply to us.

5. WhatsApp, telephone and email

WhatsApp is operated by a third party, not by us. When you message us on WhatsApp, your message travels through that service and is subject to its own terms and privacy practices. The same applies to your email provider and your mobile network. If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, please call us on 079 531 7768 .

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary to do what you have asked of us — for example with suppliers involved in a funeral, or where the law requires us to. We do not share information for marketing purposes.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep records.

8. Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

9. Children

Where a plan covers children or dependants, we process their information on the instruction of the plan holder or another responsible adult.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example if we add a contact form that stores data, or add website analytics — we will update this page to say so.
