Funeral Plans
We offer three plans — Plan A at R290 per month, Plan B at R390 per month, and Plan C at R200 per month. Full cover details are on our funeral plans page.
A once-off joining fee of R60 applies when you take out a Bambanani funeral plan.
All three plans carry a 6-month waiting period from the start of cover.
Plan A covers a member and spouse aged 18–65, two adults aged 18–65 and four children aged 0–35. Plan B covers a member and spouse aged 18–75, four adults aged 18–86, four extended family members aged 0–65 and four children aged 0–35. Plan C covers four children aged 0–25 — please contact Bambanani to confirm the applicable member and spouse age limits.
Special conditions may apply to qualifying crossover clients. Please contact Bambanani for confirmation of what would apply in your case.
Benefits
Yes. A grocery package forms part of the funeral we provide, and the full item list is published on our grocery package page. Contents and availability are subject to the applicable plan and confirmation by Bambanani.
A hearse and family car are provided. Where the distance is over 100 km, a rate of R12 per kilometre applies. If the funeral is far out of town, a R1,000 tent allowance is referenced for main members.
The product is described as a burial policy rather than a general cash policy — it provides the funeral itself. The official pamphlet also refers to specific amounts for grocery and for tent and grave. The final eligibility for each benefit, and the form in which it is provided, is governed by the official Bambanani policy documentation, so please confirm the position for your plan with us.
An R100 airtime benefit may apply when a qualifying claim is made. Please confirm the applicable plan conditions with Bambanani.
Bambanani clients may receive assistance with a basic will at no additional cost, subject to confirmation and applicable terms. This is an assistance service and is not legal representation.
Premiums & Terms
Membership may lapse after 31 days if a premium is not paid or collected. If you are ever worried about a payment, contact us — we would always rather talk it through than see cover lapse.
